Private, Custom Guided Day Hike In Glacier National Park

 A custom guided day hike lets you choose when and where you’d like to go, and who you’d like to hike with. Due to high demand, we recommend reserving these trips as early as possible. If you have a dream trip in mind, January is a great time to reach out to us – but feel free to call us anytime of the year. Our generous cancellation policy allows last minute spots to open up frequently.


Difficulty: Easy, Family Friendly, Moderate, or Advanced – you choose!

Trip Duration: 1 day

Price: Flat fee of $650 for a group of 1 to 5 people.  If a group has 6 or more people, the rate is $130 per person.

Additional Fees: Park entrance fee and gratuity for guide not included.

Your guide can meet you at your hotel or campground if you are staying in Glacier National Park. Typically, our guided day hikes cover 8 to 12 miles, but we will personalize your trip to fit the hiking abilities and interests of your group.

What’s Included?

Transportation is included. Lunch is, too! Our trail lunches are largely locally and organically sourced. They generally include homemade cookies, fresh fruits and vegetables, chips, and your choice of a turkey, ham, roast beef, or veggie sandwiches. Our in-house kitchen can accommodate nearly any dietary restriction or preference – just ask in advance, please.

Private, Custom Day Hike Meeting Notes

Please call our office the day before departure at 406-387-5555 to check-in. The day of the trip, arrive at our office by 8:00 AM to meet your guide, unless other arrangements have been made.  We are located 1.5 miles west of West Glacier on Highway 2. Look for our Glacier Guides and Montana Raft sign on the north side of the highway, between mile marker 151 and 152. Our property is just off the highway, tucked in the trees. Our private Guest House, located just down the street from us, might be just what your group is looking for.

The Glacier Guides Guest House comfortably sleeps 8 and can easily accommodate up to 12. It is conveniently located 1.5 miles from the Glacier National Park entrance in West Glacier.

This 3 bedroom, 3 bath Glacier National Park vacation rental features all the comforts of home. Enjoy the full size kitchen, living room, dining area, and entertainment area. There’s a big screen TV and a foosball table! For sleeping, choose from 2 queen bedrooms upstairs. One has an en suite bathroom. The other bathroom is adjacent to the second bedroom. Downstairs is an open layout, with 1 queen, 2 twins, a futon, and a fold out sleeper sofa. There is a downstairs bathroom.

In the summertime, this vacation rental is a great base for rafting, biking, hiking, and fishing with Glacier Guides and Montana Raft. The Guest House provides easy access for nordic Glacier National Park adventures in winter. It is located about 45 minutes from the chairlifts at Whitefish Mountain Resort.
