  • Group Trip Testimonial

Did a half day trip with 7 family members and had a fantastic time with our knowledgeable and talented guide Charlie! We had a variety of experience within our group, and Charlie guided us down the river without a hitch, sharing interesting facts along the way. Great experience for any age. Montana Raft is a top notch company, accommodating our group without any issue when booking the day before. Our group of 7 fit on one raft, and Montana Raft provided a variety of gear options for us to use, including wet suits, rain jackets, booties, helmets, and life jackets (highly recommend the wetsuit when going on a cool day, as you can expect to get thoroughly soaked on your journey down the river). We can be a tough group to please, but we thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and we highly recommend having Charlie as your guide!

  • Our Guides

Shout out to our guides Jared, Jacob, and Sage!! They were funny, entertaining, energetic, knowledgeable, and kept the vibe high! My family came with a huge party of about 30 people which included adults and children. The Lee and Yang family had a great time and highly recommend this rafting company!

  • Chalet Testimonial

Glacier Guides three day Chalet backpacking trip is about as good as it gets. You get the opportunity to do backcountry hiking led by experienced guides AND you can leave the 40 pound backpack home! All food and sleeping quarters are provided at the Granite Chalet as you day hike through the beauty of Glacier National. Our group was a fun and interesting bunch from all over the U.S. that loved the outdoors and who were very pleasant companions. A great experience run by a truly professional company.

  • Lodging Testimonial

When searching for lodging close to Glacier National Park I happened upon Glacier Guides Lodge. It was comfortably rustic, cozy and the rooms had a nice array of amenities. The breakfast buffet was a plus with both hot & cold items. The coffee was excellent! Check-in was a hoot as we were greeted by a note telling us the keys were in the room and to check off our name so when staff returned they would know we’d arrived. When we did meet the staff they were welcoming and full of information about the park and surrounding area. Being a stone’s throw from the West entrance to the park was certainly a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

  • Biking Testimonial

We rented two e-bikes and were super happy with the experience! This outfitters location is great for picking up bikes bc there is a bike path that leads all the way back into West Glacier so you don’t have to transport your bikes by car or ride on the road to get into the park to start biking. We left our rental car in the lot all day and headed out directly from the bike lot to get our day started. Checking out the bikes and returning them was super easy and quick – we had made reservations on line which I highly recommend to ensure you get an e-bike if you want one and to ensure you get one that is the right size – very important especially if you’re short like me (5’2″) cause these bikes are a bit heavy and even the smallest size is still pretty big. No issues with the bike quality and e-biking the going to the sun road was SO much fun and doable for anybody whose ridden a bike before – you def don’t have to be a bike pro to have a good time.

Enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals served miles from the nearest road or grocery store, and unwind in the warm glow of the chalet dining room. After dark, step outside to experience Glacier’s internationally recognized dark skies, where stars fill the night in every direction. Best of all, you’ll enjoy this backcountry experience without carrying camping gear. Here’s a list of what to bring.
Depending on trail conditions, you’ll hike to and from the Chalet via either the Loop Trail (3.8 miles with 2,000 feet of elevation gain) or the Highline Trail (7.5 mostly level miles). The Chalet features a fully equipped kitchen and beds with linens, offering rare comfort deep in Glacier’s backcountry.
