First of all, to get this party bus on the road, here’s a look at our founders the year it all began:

In February 1983, these three young men proposed a backpacking guide concession to the National Park Service. They saw a need to provide ecologically sensitive backcountry guiding and interpretation in Glacier National Park. Consequently, the park service agreed, and Glacier Wilderness Guides was born. Four years later, Montana Raft joined the family, and we’ve been working and playing hard ever since! Today at Glacier Guides and Montana Raft, our mission is to provide exceptional active travel vacations and experiences in and around Glacier National Park while preserving and protecting Glacier’s unique ecosystem using the best available ecologically sound practices.
