At Glacier Guides and Montana Raft, we’re locals, and we love Glacier National Park with all of our hearts. With a bit of summer snow gracing Logan Pass, we’re still getting after it for memories that will last a lifetime. Late last week brought our favorite combination of winter sport and summer sport lovers sharing one of the best spaces in the park.

Overnight raft trips mean salmon dinner on the riv Overnight raft trips mean salmon dinner on the river, mountain goat families, stunning views (including Mount Saint Nicholas) and hilarious memories!! Flows on the Middle Fork are running at a perfect 6500 cfs 🌊

The full length of Going-to-the-Sun Road is expect The full length of Going-to-the-Sun Road is expected to open to motorized vehicles Monday, June 16, for the 2025 summer season, per a news release from Glacier National Park! 

As a reminder, timed entry vehicle reservations are required to enter Going-to-the-Sun Road from the west side of the park for those traveling by vehicle or motorcycle from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning June 13 through September 28, 2025. Complete information on timed entry vehicle reservations can be found online at https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/vehicle-reservations.htm. As in 2024, timed entry vehicle reservations will not be required to enter Going-to-the-Sun Road from the east side of the park at the St. Mary Entrance. Remember to always abide by bicycle etiquette on one of the world’s most beautiful roads 🚲

August Availability!! Explore Glacier National Par August Availability!! Explore Glacier National Park’s backcountry in the best way - on an overnight backpacking hike! It’s a beautiful weekend to get out and bike!! G It’s a beautiful weekend to get out and bike!! Going to the Sun Road is open ALL the way through for hikers and bikers (with a Temporary closure from the West a 1/2 mile past Road Camp: updated 1:36PM on 6/7). 

See you on the road with bear spray, sunscreen, and plenty of water to stay hydrated and comfy! 🚲
