Half Day Fly Fishing Glacier National Park

half day fly fishing tripHalf Day Fly Fishing Glacier National Park Trip Details

Difficulty: Easy

This Half Day Fly Fishing Glacier National Park trip can be scheduled for the dates of July 1st through September depending on guide availability.

Trip Duration: Half a Day

Price: $400 (for 1 to 2 people)
Other Price: Does not include 7% User Fee or gratuity for guide.

Description: We run our Half Day Fly Fishing Glacier National Park trips on either the Middle Fork or North Fork of the Flathead River, both of which border Glacier National Park. These waters support native West Slope Cutthroat along with Rainbow and some Brook trout. You’ll be fishing from a dory which can accommodate 2 people. Our guides are very knowledgeable, and if you don’t have much experience they will be happy to teach you some handy techniques. The half day fly fishing trips last 3 to 4 hours, and we have morning or afternoon departures available. Our rivers become fishable around the beginning of July.

All trips require the purchase of a Montana fishing license prior to your arrival at our office. We recommend printing one online — you can click HERE to access the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks website. Most fly shops and sporting goods stores in Montana sell them as well.

Meeting Notes: July and August, 8:30 AM or 2:00 PM.  In September, due to cooler temperatures, we will go out at 1:00 PM.  All trips meet at our office.  We are located 1.5 miles west of West Glacier, on Highway 2. Look for our sign, Glacier Guides and Montana Raft, on the north side of the highway between mile marker 151 and 152.  Our property is just off the highway tucked in the trees.  When you see our sign turn to the north and you will see us shortly thereafter.
