At Glacier Guides and Montana Raft, we’re locals, and we love Glacier National Park with all of our hearts. So, we decided to share the love and put together our very own Glacier National Park Insider’s Guide. In it, you’ll find our recommendations on the top 10 adventures in Glacier. We also weigh in on what to pack, where to eat, what to drink, and where to stay. You’ll also find information on typical weather conditions around Glacier. We’ve even listed our our favorite things to do in the neighboring communities.

Multi day raft trips: give us s’more of that ♥ Multi day raft trips: give us s’more of that ♥ Overnight trips all end in the West Glacier area, with the longest trips starting farthest upriver. An average day’s float is 15 miles of spectacular scenery, with most of the whitewater — if any — coming in the last day. These trips use the North Fork of the Flathead River during late summer, and the Middle Fork in early and mid summer. Our favorite option is customization of any of these trips – just ask! 😁 406.387.5555

Weather for the weekend indicates some showers Friday and Saturday, with the Sun fully returning on, you guessed it, Sunday!! Temps will decrease from the currently TOASTY 90°, to average around mid 60°s. Recreate responsibly, follow leave no trace, and see you soon out and around the Park 🌞

“Do you ever have swimmers?” Great Question! “Do you ever have swimmers?” Great Question! We offer tons of opportunities for guests to swim in the calm, pooling sections of our river - but you’re probably asking about swimmers in the rapids. While it is unlikely, it is a possibility we prepare for and talk about! Why choose us? From an experience, knowledge, and safety standpoint, over 90 percent of the Glacier Guides and Montana Raft’s staff returns every season. Rafting guides are trained in Swiftwater Rescue in addition to all guides certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR and NPS Bear Management Training. We take safety seriously, and explain proper safety protocols to each of our guests at base, on the bus rides, and again on the rivers before hitting the white water 🩵
