The Going to the Sun Road is again fully open from The Going to the Sun Road is again fully open from St. Mary to West Glacier with no timed vehicle restrictions!! 🌞 take care of the park, pack out what you pack in, respect the bears as they transition towards hibernation, and enjoy these last weeks of Fall (with stunning autumn routes like Avalanche Lake, pictured here!)
What we see today in the park, Government shutdown What we see today in the park, Government shutdown or not… Glacier still waits and visitors continue to make their way into the park today, driving Going-to-the-Sun Road and soaking in the fall colors. 🍂 We are still operating with Scenic Floats, Nature Walk Hikes, Ebike/Bike rentals, and gear rentals through the 14th 🍂 Please remember: with limited staff + services during the shutdown, plan ahead. Pack out what you pack in, respect closures, and recreate responsibly!

A note for our Fall Fanatic visitors - vehicle res A note for our Fall Fanatic visitors - vehicle reservations are quickly wrapping up for the 2025 season! Starting September 29th, you can drive the West Side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork without a reservation. That means more spontaneous fall adventures, golden larch views, and access to some of Glacier’s classic hikes before the snow sets in ♥ 📸: @tybeth_wip.jpg
