  • Hiking Testimonial

Glacier guides was more than I could’ve imagined! My Friends and I did the 5 day glacier challenge and it was amazing! They offer longer hikes and shorter hikes. I thought I would do all the long hikes but I didn’t every day. Every hike you take is absolutely stunning!! definitely do what your body will allow, you’ll still be very satisfied! Best part of the challenge is most certainly the guides… TOM MATELICH is awesome! he is a wonderful leader, cook, guide, absolutely hilarious and all around great guy! ARI MELINGER-COHEN is super chill and very calming to be around, extremely knowledgeable and very caring. MAKETE ROESCH is magical, super helpful and can pretty much answer anything you want to know (especially about bears and flowers). All these guys are seriously the best and when I go back I will 100% be requesting them. Glacier guides couldn’t have made this experience any better! Forever grateful for their guidance and the love they have for this beautiful place!

My family and I went on a white water raft with Nicolette and it was one of the best experiences! Nic has such an awesome personality and really made an already awesome experience even better. The views you get to see along this ride are great. I highly recommend taking a trip with this company!

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your house! We had such a great time exploring West Glacier. Highly recommended for larger groups as there were lots of beds and plenty of rooms to spread out. Would come again!

Hey y’all let’s talk about the Great Fish Comm Hey y’all let’s talk about the Great Fish Community Challenge!

Yes that’s a great fish, but Glacier Guides & Montana Raft is stoked to support THE great Fish multi week fundraising campaign through our Corporate Sponsorship of the Whitefish Community Foundation. Our sponsorship helps make it possible for 100% of every donation made during the Great Fish Community Challenge to go straight to the participating nonprofits—without being reduced by administrative costs or fees. The Great Fish Community challenge inspires community-wide giving and builds awareness about the critical work of Flathead Valley nonprofits, and in just a decade it’s helped raise over $35 million to strengthen the Flathead Valley.

These vital funds support local organizations that protect our natural resources, support education, expand the arts, and improve quality of life. As Glacier National Park’s exclusive hiking guide service and a locally owned rafting, biking, and fishing company, we share those values. We believe that a strong community is the foundation for strong stewardship of the wild places we call home.

We invite our friends, guests, and partners to join us in supporting this effort. Together, we can ensure these nonprofits have respirces to continue making the Flathead Valley a vibrant, healthy, and inspiring place to live and explore. ♥

Multi day raft trips: give us s’more of that ♥ Multi day raft trips: give us s’more of that ♥

Overnight trips all end in the West Glacier area, with the longest trips starting farthest upriver. An average day’s float is 15 miles of spectacular scenery, with most of the whitewater — if any — coming in the last day. These trips use the North Fork of the Flathead River during late summer, and the Middle Fork in early and mid summer. Our favorite option is customization of any of these trips – just ask! 😁 406.387.5555
