West Glacier, Montana: Home of Glacier Guides and Montana Raft

Inside Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park Lodges: Xanterra is the Glacier National Park concessionaire that is charged with running the lodging inside of the park. Their properties include the Village Inn at Apgar, Many Glacier Hotel, Rising Sun Motel, and Lake McDonald Hotel. Glacier National Park Lodges also offer Red Bus Tours.

Glacier Park, Inc: Offers several lodging options in and around Glacier National Park, including The Resort at Glacier in St. Mary; Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, Alberta, Canada; Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier; Motel Lake McDonald and Apgar Village Lodge at Apgar; and West Glacier Motel in West Glacier.

Glacier Haven Inn: Small inn located between West and East Glacier.
Izaak Walton Inn: Historic railroad inn that is especially great for people with a love of trains. You can even stay in a caboose!

Summit Mountain Lodge: Located on the Continental Divide along the southern border of Glacier Park. Close to East Glacier with amazing views and a great restaurant.

The Snowslip Inn:  A small motel/restaurant/bar along Hwy 2 near Essex, MT.  Great people and home cookin’!

Coram/Hungry Horse – 10 min from West Glacier

Columbia Falls – 15 min from West Glacier

Meadow Lake Resort: Great resort with all the amenities: golf, spa, restaurant, game room, and pool. Located between West Glacier and Whitefish.

Cedar Creek Lodge: Columbia Falls’ newest hotel, featuring an indoor pool and located within walking distance of downtown Columbia Falls. Don’t miss the Farmer’s Market on Thursday nights, just across the street! Cedar Creek Lodge is operated by Glacier National Park Lodges. 

River Rock Hostel: “Because sometimes you don’t feel like sleeping in a tent.” A small, friendly, and affordable hostel 20 minutes from West Glacier.

Whitefish – 30 minutes from West Glacier

Crestwood: Several rental options close to Whitefish Mountain Resort.

The Northeast Side of Glacier National Park – St. Mary and Babb

Thronson’s Motel: Basic, clean hotel with various sized rooms, operated for multiple generations by the wonderful Thronson family. Gas station, cafe, and general store, too.

Glacier Trailhead Cabins: Various cabins located 2 miles north of St. Mary, with fantastic central picnic shelter and more amazing views.

Duck Lake Lodge: A unique and down-to-earth, rustic sportsmen’s lodge with a restaurant and bar.
