This packing list is to ensure you are not left unprepared for the inconsistent and temperamental weather of Glacier Park.  We cannot guarantee that you will use all items on this list.   Whether or not you use gear will depend on conditions.

OVERNIGHT RAFTERS

Clothing

  • Quick Dry Shorts (1 for river/ 1 for camp)
  • Synthetic Wicking T-Shirt (1 for the river/ 1 for camp)
  • Swimsuit
  • Long Underwear Top and Bottom (Midweight, Synthetic)
  • Midweight Fleece/Wool Jacket or Sweater
  • Midweight Fleece Pants (for use while at camp)
  • Polar Fleece or Insulated Jacket (needed in June and September)
  • Waterproof Rain Jacket and Pant
  • Fleece or Wool Hat
  • Fleece or Wool Gloves
  • Wool or Synthetic Socks
  • River sandals or Sneakers for Rafting. (We provide wetsuit booties if necessary)
  • Dry Shoes for Camp

Miscellaneous Essentials

  • Ziploc bags (larger size, to organize, keep items clean and dry)
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, wash cloth, sanitary wipes)

  • Backpack (70 to 80L for Backpacking Trips.  30L for Chalet or Glacier Challenge Trips)
  • Rain Cover for Backpack (or line inside of pack with garbage bag.)
  • Trekking Poles
    (Equipment Rental Package includes all of the above – reservations required)

  • Valid Passport to cross US-Canadian border.  (applies to Backpackers and Glacier Challenge)
  • Park Pass or Entrance Money to Purchase One ($15 per person)
  • Gratuity for Guide (15% is the standard for our industry)
  • Water Bottles (Two 1-Quart) or Hydration System Plus One 1-Quart Water Bottle
