Do you dream of a summer afternoon on a gorgeous Montana river, setting a hook for a hungry westslope cutthroat? Welcome to reality. We can help! Glacier Guides and Montana Raft’s professional guides can get you into the Glacier National Park fishing you’ve dreamed of. The Middle Fork and the North Fork of the Flathead River form two of Glacier National Park’s borders. These waters, part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, are where we fish, and offer outstanding habit and opportunities for native westslope cutthroat, whitefish, rainbow, and brook trout.
In addition to Glacier National Park fishing, we are proud to guide on the famed Smith River, in central Montana. The Smith is Montana’s only permitted river, and for good reason. It offers exceptional brown trout fishing for anglers, and epic bird and wildlife watching opportunities for everyone. Learn more about what makes this 5 Day Adventure so special!
Whether you’re signed up for Glacier National Park fishing, or slaying browns with us on the Smith, you’re welcome to bring your own equipment. Our guides can give you tips on how to get the most out of your setup. You can also reserve some of our high quality lineup. Rods, reels, and flies are included at no extra cost. We use driftboats, dories, and rafts for our fishing trips, as appropriate. Because of the need to protect our area fisheries, we are strong believers in catch-and-release fishing. We hope you’ll assist us in our efforts.
If you would like to add some Glacier National Park fishing time to our other trips, such as scenic floating, just give us a call! We’d love to help you put together your perfect Montana adventure. 1-800-521-RAFT or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Frequently Asked Question about Glacier National Park Fishing:
Do we need a Montana State Fishing License?
Yes: If you are joining us on one of our guided fishing trips down the river. It is best to have a Montana State Fishing license in hand prior to meeting your guide at our office. We recommend printing one online, but most fly shops and sporting goods stores in Montana sell them, too.
No: If you are hiking with us inside Glacier National Park, you do not need a Montana License, but you will need a copy of the NPS Fishing Regulations. Our hiking guides are not allowed to act as fishing guides in the park. However, if you want to fish, you can do so during down time on our hiking and backpacking trips.
